From the first question onward
Planning Your Insulation Project
Know what to discuss before you approve an estimate or prepare your property.
Tell us what needs attention
Share the property location, the space involved, and what you want to improve. Photos and approximate measurements can help start the conversation.
Discuss the assessment
We can discuss access, current insulation, moisture concerns, and whether a site visit is needed. Confirm appointment availability directly with the team.
Review the written scope
Before approving work, confirm the material, included surfaces, depth or R-value, preparation, cleanup, full price, exclusions, payment terms, and any applicable warranty.
Confirm installation and follow-up
Agree on the schedule, property access, and any product-specific instructions before installation. Keep the scope and product information, and contact us with questions about the completed work.
Get the scope in writing
- Which surfaces are included, and how were they measured?
- What product, installed depth, and intended R-value are specified?
- Are removal, disposal, masking, air sealing, and cleanup included?
- Are any protective coatings, moisture repairs, or ventilation changes required? Who handles them?
- What is excluded, and how would additional work be approved?
- What are the full price, payment terms, schedule, and any written warranty terms?
A product warranty and a workmanship warranty are different. Ask whether either applies, who provides it, its duration and exclusions, and the claim procedure. Only the written terms for your project establish the coverage.
Prepare for the actual product and work
Discuss access, stored items, masking, disposal, and cleanup responsibilities before installation. Unresolved roof leaks, standing water, or damaged materials may need separate work before insulation can be installed.
For spray foam, ask for the named product's installation, ventilation, and occupant re-entry instructions before scheduling. Re-entry depends on the product and site conditions; do not assume a universal waiting period.

After the work
Keep the written scope, product information, and any applicable warranty documents. Ask how coverage and depth were checked, review the agreed cleanup, and raise any concerns with the team. If later leaks, damage, or renovations affect the insulation, request an assessment rather than covering the problem.
